The Revolution with Port Huron Boudoir Photographer AJBC Photography

Last year was the first year for me that I made a private decision to cater to specifically women, because that's what I loved to shoot.
This year, in case you couldn't tell, I'm really, really embracing that!

I want to start a mini revolution for you ladies and change the way we see ourselves and think about other women. Hell. If it takes off it may just be a full on Revolution.

In order to CELEBRATE that I'm offering something to you and a friend that I've NEVER done before.

Set aside a day to book a life changing session wtih A.J.B.C. Photography. Invite a friend that deserves this and will value it just as much as you, because empowerment happens with support and numbers.
Maybe it's your best friend, your mom, your sister.

Professional Hair, MakeUp, wine, help with your wardrobe, and a custom session for each of you individually, plus shots together at the end of the day.
The best part- it's a $350 value. I'm offering it until April 30th for $175. Treat your friend or split it in half at $88. I don't care how you do it as long as you're ready for an experience unlike anything you'v ever done before.

Yes we're going to make you feel beautiful. Yes we're going to have fun. But we're also going to show you a side of yourself you either didn't know existed or were to afraid to let people know about it.

I'm done with your typical portraits, ladies. Let's make a change starting with your session, and then FEEL that change every day after that. Let's start a Revolution.

Call me: 810-300-1390
or email me: autumn@ajbcphotography.com
to get started.

Port Huron Wedding Photographer Travels South to historic Savannah, Georgia

First thing you should know about this couple-
I have never seen a more prepared and organized couple that can drive so quickly through a city. haha!
Troy and Blair live in, what I think is, one of the most beautiful cities in America. It for sure tops any other city I have ever been to when it comes to preserving history and it's a large city that NEVER feels full of tourists or annoyed locals. We've visited Savannah 3 times within the last 3 years and I'm always ready to go back again.

So why were Port Huron photographers all the way in Georgia? Well. Because of the lovely Blair and Troy. My husband and I went to high school with Blair and since she had been following my work for the last few years asked if we traveled for weddings. And that question came with a very simple- YES!
After they told me their wedding plans were to have a steampunk / circus theme I was screaming YYEESSSS!!! haha And the rest is history.

We got together a day before their wedding for more casual shots of the two of them, since they didn't have any professionally done.
Not knowing the area super well, I counted on them to know where they wanted to go.
I've never shot in so many different locations that were so far apart from each other in a period of just under 2 hours before.
We started at their house which is the epitome of a gorgeous southern home. Original... everything. They are in the middle of renovations but when they are done they are going to have a beautiful porch to sit on while they breath that awesome, clean, warm southern air, covered from the shade of the spanish moss that hangs from the trees. We then went to a near by neighborhood, next to The Wormsloe Historic Site, to a few other stops in between that we changed our mind about, rushed then to SCAD ( Savannah College of Art and Design), and then ended at Clary's, a restaurant that was also in the film Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. I'll admit, all that makes me a little jealous of them!

What I loved most about them was their ability to say, "It's not gonna work, moving on!" We got to some locations that were packed, parking wasn't going to happen, or the backdrop just wasn't as great as they remembered. They honestly worked like a well oiled machine together. There was NO stress with them, they simply were a team. Which isn't that what the perfect husband and wife couples are? A team?

Their wedding was also a blast.... but sorry, you're going to have to wait. Because that's a whole other post!!

A Lifestyle Shoot with Port Huron Family Photographer- AJBC Photography

Right in the heart of Downtown Port Huron, Michigan in one of the cutest coffee shops I've ever seen (The Exquisite Corpse)  awaits a family. They order their coffee and pay at the counter. Stripping jackets and getting cozy they pile in behind the large table and open up their usual reading material of comics and art.
And then all I simply do is step in and capture that love and lifestyle they so beautifully live.

I don't do many lifestyle sessions. I think it's because not a lot of people think of them as an option. The whole feel of "from the outside looking in" is a little foreign to traditional portraiture but I'm going to be SURE to do it again, and again, very, very soon.
In my opinion, it truly captures who you are. No who you wish to be, but who you so truthfully and honestly are, and that's awesome because maybe you don't know what that looks like from the outside. Or.... it may change one day and you'll want to remember what it felt like to live like this, forever.

This session was a breath of fresh air. It was SO easy going, so truly enjoyable.
It also helps that Bre is the kindest woman you'll probably ever meet and Josh is the raw and original talent behind As Fall Leaves. Then there is Mason. This boy is the sweetest, most worldy little guy I've ever met and I could totally hang out with him and just chat away.

Just to switch things up a bit we finished up our coffee and headed down to the newly built River Walk. I must say- Blue Water Area- bravo. This area right by the St. Clair River is gorgeous and true to it's history. Canada makes a nice looking backdrop back there too. ;)

2014 recap- ajbc photography (port huron, michigan portrait photographer)

2014 was an amazing, wonderful, down right spectacular year for AJBC Photography. You know why?
Because of all the beautiful 75 faces you see here (I'm missing a few for the ladies who wanted to stay private.)
Beauty, Boudoir, Families, Kids, Seniors, Weddings, Destination Weddings, Animals, Fitness, Commercial, Events, Products. All in 1 year. All because these amazing people believed in what I could create for them, what we could create together.
It blows my mind seeing everything and everyone together in 1 box. My (almost) whole year in recap. From the first tiny square to the last, ever experience, every session, every client, every new friend I made, every moment we captured, it has changed me, it has shaped me, it's now a documented piece of history. I can not wait for 2015 and I can't thank you all enough for filling each and every square here.
